We are thankful for our Landscape 4 Humanity (L4H Lab) partners at the University of Oregon. The student teams are learning how to effectively implement design research and education on the ground through supporting our priority landscape management needs. Villager and student engagement is central to the entire implementation process.
- Dog Park/Run: We expect to host 17 dogs in our community by the end of the month. Creating a central spot for these canine friends to run off leash and enjoy themselves outside is essential.
- Fire Pit: The village needs a place where people can gather for celebration and outdoor camaraderie. L4H has a plan to help us design and build a firewood shed made out of discarded pallets and benches to surround the fire pit made from wood found on site. They are even helping us to made our own cushions for them.
